Hi, I’m Esther de Fleur!
I grew up in the small, sun-soaked town of Geraldton, WA, where I spent most of my time wandering the outback, climbing trees, and letting my imagination run wild. As a kid, I didn’t have a lot of friends, but I did have creativity—and trust me, we were inseparable. Whether I was drawing, painting, or coloring late into the night, I was always dreaming up new ways to see the world. Looking back, I know it wasn’t just creativity that carried me—it was God, planting seeds of inspiration and purpose in my heart even when I didn’t fully realize it.
One of my earliest memories of realizing art was my calling happened in kindergarten. While the other kids were busy making stick-figure people out of pre-cut shapes, I decided to rip mine apart and create something entirely new. My teachers were amazed, and from that moment on, I knew I wasn’t just following the lines—I was breaking them. Art class felt like home, and my ability to capture the human form came naturally. Despite my A+ streak, I was told art was just a hobby, not a career. So, like a good little overachiever, I focused on math, English, and chemistry, preparing for a future that didn’t ignite my soul.
Then life threw me a curveball. In my final year of high school, my mum became very sick with cancer. I stepped up to care for her and my younger brothers, leaning on faith through the hardest days of my life. After her passing, I felt lost and unsure of my next step. I tried different jobs—restaurants, software development, call centers, even cleaning—but nothing filled me with joy like creating art.
Art is more than a passion; it’s my purpose, a gift I know God has woven into my story. His hand has guided me through every challenge and triumph, and His grace reminds me daily to keep creating, dreaming, and pushing boundaries. Today, I share my creations with the world, grateful for the chance to brighten your life with my work. This journey is just beginning, and I’m excited to walk it with faith, heart, and purpose as my guide.
